Lawrence Lazar is a London-based documentary photographer whose work explores people, culture, sport and the spaces in which communities come together. His photography is driven by curiosity and a fascination with the everyday, including London's distinctive communities and subcultures.
Working across documentary, editorial, portraiture and street photography, Lawrence is interested in the relationship between people and their surroundings, and in photographing subjects with a sense of intimacy and observation.
His work has been published in The New York Times Style Magazine (Qatar Edition) and the Brixton Bugle, and exhibited at Photobook Cafe and The Photographers’ Gallery in London. He has also participated in Magnum Photos-led workshops.
Born in Britain and raised between the UK and Germany, Lawrence brings a cross-cultural perspective to his work.Â
